How 12 Autonomous Cron Jobs
Run the Cognistration Platform

A deep dive into the agentic pipeline that renders binaural beat Shorts, clips content from partner channels, prospects affiliate leads, and publishes everything to YouTube — all hands-free, every other day, while Matt sleeps.

The Nightly Pipeline

Every other night, six rendering and clipping jobs fire in sequence. Three binaural Shorts are generated, three channel clips are produced. By morning, the posting agents take over.

Binaural Shorts Pipeline

Three rendering jobs fire overnight at 1, 2, and 3 AM. Each generates a pure binaural beat WAV, converts it to MP3, and renders a 65-second Remotion composition at 1080x1920. The composition includes animated carrier waves, a beat frequency visualization, the Cognistration mark, and a fade-to-CTA in the final five seconds.

Render Theta (1 AM)

6 Hz beat. Mint/gold color palette. Outcome: Meditation, creative flow, inner voice.

Render Alpha (2 AM)

10 Hz beat. Same palette. Outcome: Calm awareness, quiet the noise.

Render Delta (3 AM)

2.5 Hz beat. Slate palette. Outcome: Deep sleep, inner restoration.

Channel Clip Pipeline

Three clipping jobs run at 4, 5, and 6 AM. Each downloads the latest video from a target channel, picks a random 75-second segment, crops to vertical 1080x1920, fetches YouTube auto-captions, and burns them in. Every description credits the original creator. No Cognistration branding, no ads.

Clip Jesse Michaels (4 AM)

Download 720p, random segment, center crop, auto-caption.

Clip Shawn Ryan (5 AM)

Same pipeline. Skips previously clipped videos via state ledger.

Clip Joe Rogan (6 AM)

Avoids intro/outro. All three run with no_agent=true, zero LLM cost.

Daytime Posting Pipeline

Three posting jobs at 9 AM, 12 PM, and 3 PM pick up staged binaural Shorts and publish them to YouTube. Each job processes exactly one video: uploads with brain-state-specific title and description, verifies via the YouTube Data API, then deletes the local MP4. Tracks what has been posted in posted.json.

Post Morning (9 AM)

First staged video. Public upload with theta/alpha/delta title.

Post Noon (12 PM)

Second staged video. API verification before local deletion.

Post Afternoon (3 PM)

Final video. Staging folder empty until next render cycle.

Partner Prospecting Pipeline

A weekly three-stage pipeline for finding and evaluating Cognistration affiliate partners. Stage 1 (Sunday 11 PM): an LLM agent searches six niches for 15 to 25 new leads with public followings. Stage 2 (Monday 7 AM): an analysis agent scores each lead on five weighted criteria and ranks them into Tier 1 and Tier 2. Stage 3 (Monday 7:30 AM): a sync script pushes everything to the cognistration_leads Google Sheet for the outbound agent.

Prospect (Sun 11 PM)

web_search + web_extract across 6 niches. Structured JSON output.

Analyze (Mon 7 AM)

5 weighted criteria, max 100 points. Tier 1/Tier 2 ranking.

Sync to Sheets (Mon 7:30 AM)

Google Sheets API via service account. 21-column sheet.

YouTube Analytics

Runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9 AM. Pulls channel performance data via the YouTube Analytics API, generates reports and charts, and syncs reminders to Apple Calendar. Uses a dedicated OAuth token scoped to yt-analytics.readonly.

YT Analytics (Mon/Wed/Fri 9 AM)

Channel stats, engagement metrics, calendar reminders.
